Over the weekend, the Raiders hosted the 2008 Colgate Invitational. With little rain in the last week, the greens at Seven Oaks have been playing fast. This year, the Raiders did not perform as well as they had expected at their home course. The Raiders tied for fifth, with an overall team score of 627.
Binghamton came out on top this weekend with an overall score of 606. In the end, the Colgate finished 21 shots behind Binghamton to end the tournament. The individual winner of the tournament was decided in a playoff on the thirteenth hole, which was won by Binghamton’s Mike Corbo. Junior David Ake led Colgate with an overall score of 154.
After a disappointing finish this weekend, the Raiders will look to improve at the Cornell Invitational this weekend, weather permitting.
