To the Editor: In response to the Letter to the Editor in last week’s issue of the paper (“‘Sex Week’ Is Not An Event Colgate Should be Celebrating”), we’re pleased to see that Sex Week has provoked discussion, and we appreciate hearing both positive and negative feedback. Sex Week programs were educational and entertaining, covering a wide gambit of issues – everything from loving your body to sexual harassment. Our goal was to generate discourse about what is sometimes a taboo topic in order to promote healthy relationships and encourage thoughtful reflection on sexual decision making. By involving more than a dozen students, alumni and administrative groups,Sex Weekrepresented a variety of perspectives on sexuality and sexual expression. The Colgate Activities Board would welcome any comments or suggestions and/or programming ideas as we plan for next year’s Sex Week.
