Fantasy Football: Buy or Sell?: Hamilton’s Best Fantasy Football Surprises

Buy:

Mike Wallace, Baltimore Ravens

Mike Wallace has had two solid back-to-back weeks with his new team, the Baltimore Ravens. Look for him to keep up his production with a soft schedule. His ability to stretch the field with his elite speed complements Joe Flacco’s ability to throw the ball downfield beautifully. He is available in 36 percent of leagues right now, and while his stock may seem inflated, I see his value only going up, as he will be a top

10-15 WR this year.

Lamar Miller, Houston Texans

While Lamar has put up only okay numbers for a solid second rounder this year, his touches have been extraordinary. 28 in the first game and 25 in the second equals high potential. With no other mouths to feed in the Houston backfield, look for him to get goal line touches and increase his value. Buy his stock now while it is still low.

Allen Robinson, Jacksonville Jaguars

This is a bit of a reach. But the Jaguars offense is stalling, and Robinson owners are getting antsy. Maybe you picked up Christine Michael or LaGarrette Blount off of waivers and want to package them with another WR for Robinson. Last year, Robinson was a machine, and I expect him to get back to his old ways soon. But if you can, push for him.

The Seattle Seahawks Offense

Russell Wilson, Christine Michael, and all their WRs (avoid Jimmy Graham and Thomas Rawls though); buy now! Last year showed that kinks will be worked out, and Russell Wilson is an elite fantasy QB. No matter how slow his start, he WILL produce. The value of many of their players will not be lower. Take advantage now, wait and reap the benefits come playoff time.

Others: Kelvin Benjamin (WR1), Stefon Diggs (high WR), Sterling Shepard (elite FLEX), Corey Coleman (WR2), LeGarrette Blount (high RB2)

Sell:

Matt Forte, New York Jets

It is tough to make this call this early in the year, but with Forte’s extensive record of injuries, pull the trigger now while his value is super inflated after his impressive 29-point performance in week two. This year is no different than the rest. Jamaal Charles is injured, Gronk is injured, RGIII is injured, Tony Romo is injured, it is a matter of time until Forte follows suit. Sell NOW!

Devonta Freeman, Atlanta Falcons

What. A. Bust. After an unbelievable season last year, Devonta Freeman has finally come back to Earth. Tevin Coleman has shown promise and has garnered ten carries a game, and displayed promise in the receiving game. Devonta is no longer the workhorse he once was and will not put up RB1 numbers this year. Sell now while you still can, because soon his value will be in the toilet.

LeSean McCoy, Buffalo Bills

Look ahead to his schedule. Tough run defenses up and down the board. I love Shady as much as the next guy, but he has not shown much promise so far this year. I know you drafted him in the second round, but trust me and get out of this sinking Buffalo Bills offense ship while you still can.

Others: Thomas Rawls (bust), Jamaal Charles (sell while he still has value), Eddie Lacy (bust), Sammy Watkins

(injury prone).
