Colgate University has raised more than $750 million toward its $1 billion Campaign for the Third Century goal, marking a major step toward reshaping the campus and expanding access to a Colgate education.
The campaign has already funded 16 new endowed faculty chairs and several major building projects — including Burke Hall, Jane Pinchin Hall and the renovated Olin Hall, home to the Robert H.N. Ho Center for Mind, Brain, and Behavior. Bernstein Hall now anchors the new Middle Campus, and work continues on transforming West Campus into a fully integrated residential neighborhood. This fall, construction begins on the Carey Center, a new home for Division I volleyball and basketball, thanks to a lead gift from Chase Carey ’76 and his family.
Financial aid remains a centerpiece of the campaign. Through the Colgate Commitment, 44% of the Class of 2029 receive institutional financial aid, up from 41% last year.
“I offer my profound gratitude to all those who have brought Colgate to this milestone,” President Brian W. Casey told the Colgate University News. “Our ambition for this scholarly community is an endeavor we pursue together for the benefit of our students, our faculty, our alumni and for all those touched by the work of this university.”
