Why Robert? He won 60 percent of his face-offs

against Bucknell, including 10-11 spanning from

the second to third quarter to help jump start

the Raider comeback victory.

1. You guys did not get off to the hot start you

are accustomed to, but were able to put together

a comeback in the second half. What changes

did the team make in the locker room for the

second half?

When we went into half time, no one got down

or felt defeated in spite of the half we played. We

just knew that if we just played like ourselves that our offense would have no problem

coming up with the goals we needed and that the defense would continue to keep us

in the game.

2. When the team got down by a few goals, did you put any extra pressure on

yourself for the face-offs to try to get more possession and limit theirs?

When we started to get down by a few goals, I definitely felt like I needed to string

together some wins in order to get our offense the ball and help our defense rest. With

the potent offense we have, the more possessions we get, the better we feel about our

chances of winning.

3. Any team that scouts Colgate knows your success at face-offs this season. Have

you had to adjust your technique as the season has gone on?

Definitely. Teams know by now what I like to do and have done some interesting things

to stop it. It’s a difficult part of lacrosse, but you constantly have to be adapting to what

teams are doing and we’ve done a good job so far in doing that.

4. What was going through your mind when you saw Peter Baum’s shot go in for

the game-winning goal with two seconds left?

Thank God, that was unbelievable. Against a team that we’ve lost to the last four

times (including the Patriot League Championship), that was probably one of the most

important goals in Colgate history.

5. You play Bucknell again this Friday. What’s tough about having to play the same

team twice in a week?

It’s always difficult to beat a good team twice, especially in back-to-back weeks as there

are no secrets the second time around. However, we know that they only saw one half

of Colgate lacrosse and the focus for us is bringing it for the full 60 minutes.
