Although Colgate students can’t will spring weather to come to the cozy confines of Hamilton, New York when we return for Spring Break, the Athletic Department is doing its best to make sure memories of a five-month winter stay in the inner recesses of our minds when it hosts “Springcoming” at the men’s lacrosse game against The Ohio State University on Tuesday, March 24 at 7 p.m. under the lights of Andy Kerr Stadium. However, festivities start at 5 p.m. with a tailgate in the Andy Kerr Stadium parking lot. The first 750 fans get “Springcoming 2009” T-Shirts, and there will be raffles, contests, music, sumo wrestling and halftime fireworks.

The current weather forecast calls for temperatures in the 50’s and no rain on March 24, which is a great excuse to come out and enjoy Springcoming. It should be a great time.
