An article appeared in the September 17, 2004 issue of The Colgate Maroon-News about the reorganization of the architectural team for the Case Library and Center for Information Technology project. Pickard Chilton and Colgate wish to clarify some points in this article. The mutual decision that Pickard Chilton would withdraw from the design team was solely due to a change in the University’s aesthetic objectives relating to a portion of the exterior of the building. The University was very satisfied with the dedication, collaboration, and performance of Pickard Chilton. According to Mark Spiro, Vice President for Administrative Services, administration officials were, “impressed by Pickard Chilton’s integrity and professionalism – hallmarks of their relationship with Colgate throughout the project”.
