The ‘Gate Plate: Kiss Kiss Cookies
These are my favorite cookies to bake for my friends because they are both super easy and super delicious! The short cook and prep time make them a fun, quick activity for a weekend afternoon or even a study break.
SERVES: 10 people
PREP TIME: 10 minutes
COOK TIME: 10 minutes
EASY TIPS: You can substitute peanut butter for almond butter or sun butter for a different cookie!
INGREDIENTS:
- ½ cup softened butter
- 1 cup peanut butter
- ⅓ cup granulated sugar
- ⅓ cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- ¼ cup milk
- Splash of vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cups of flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Dash of salt
- Extra granulated sugar for rolling cookie dough
- One pack of Hershey’s kisses, or other chocolate candies of your choice
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Heat oven to 375°F. Prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
- Beat butter and peanut butter in a large bowl until well blended.
- Add granulated sugar and brown sugar and beat until fluffy.
- Add egg, milk and vanilla to sugar and peanut butter; mix and beat well.
- Stir together flour, baking soda and salt in a separate bowl.
- Add flour mixture to wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Roll dough into small balls. Roll in granulated sugar; place on prepared baking sheets.
- Bake for about 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Press a chocolate into the center of each cookie. The cookie will form little cracks around the edges.
