To the Colgate Community,

In response to the recent events caused by some of our club’s members, we would like to apologize to the Colgate community as a whole. We are sorry for the words of the GroupMe and the hurt that they have caused. The views represented in the GroupMe are not representative of those held by Colgate College Republicans as a club, and we condemn them in their entirety. In light of the situation, the Vice President of our club has resigned.

Our remaining Executive Board is evaluating the current state of the club and working towards fostering an environment that absolutely condemns hateful and divisive rhetoric at its onset. We as an organization would like to share our sincerest apologies to all those whose existences on this campus were disrespected.
