Quality of Food: I was personally very upset when Numero Uno closed a few years ago, but I was consoled when Rusch’s opened last year. They know how to make some very good bar food as well as tasty salads. The Big Fat Greek and Buffalo Strip salads two of my favorite things to eat in Hamilton, and the French Dip sandwich is tasty as well; though with sautéed onions and horseradish cream this is not a date-friendly meal. Whether you are looking for a few snacks as you watch the game, a light salad, or a juicy hamburger, Rusch’s is a jack-of-all-trades that will satisfy many discerning palates. With twelve beers on tap and a respectable wine list, Rusch’s is definitely a fun place to begin a night downtown.
Décor: Rusch’s is a sports bar, and it looks like one. Flat screen TV’s (there are eighteen of them) are the main decorating piece, and they are usually turned to whatever popular sporting match is on at the time. The main restaurant has booths and tables, and the smaller and somewhat separate bar area also has a few tables that are fun to sit at in small groups.
Service: As a new restaurant, the service at Rusch’s is very nice and attentive. Even when they are busy their clients never feel abandoned or neglected, nor will they be hurried out.
