Paulie Walnuts Fantasy Picks of the Week

NYJ QB Chad Pennington – One of the most underrated quarterbacks in the NFL, Pennington has been rock solid for the Jets this year. Against the 1-6 Cleveland Browns, the former Marshall star will surely throw touchdowns to the most colorfully-named wide receivers in football: Jerricho Cotchery and Laveranues Coles.

NO RB Deuce McAllister – McAllister has averaged 4.9 yards per carry and four touchdowns in the first six games of the season. Although the Baltimore Ravens have a formidable defense, karma is on McAlister’s and the 5-1 Saints’ side.

TEN RB Travis Henry – Henry, a former Buffalo Bill, has been the only consistent member of the Titans’ offense. If quarterback Vince Young starts throwing the ball erratically versus Houston, Titans’ coach Jeff Fisher will pound the ball up the middle with Henry against the worst defense in the NFL.

GB WR Donald Driver – Quarterback Brett Favre’s favorite target caught 10 balls for 93 yards and a touchdown against Miami last week. When the struggling Cardinals come to Lambeau Field on Sunday, Driver will have another field day and help continue Arizona’s losing streak.

PIT WR Hines Ward – The Super Bowl XL MVP had the best game of his career last week against a tough Falcons’ defense. Look for him to send the Raider’s secondary to the psych ward this week as he completely ignores their attempts to tackle him.

STL TE Joe Klopfenstein – This rookie out of Colorado is my biggest sleeper of the year. Klopfenstein will be playing the Chargers last Sunday, who are in shambles after losing a heart-breaking game to the Chiefs last week.

CHI DEF – All-Pro linebacker Brain Urlacher and the Chicago Bears have a great chance of getting their second shutout of the year when they play the 49ers at Solider Field. San Francisco has only won three road games since the beginning of the 2003 season.
