2,000 American soldiers have now died in Iraq: Their caskets have been hidden from view, and the news of their deaths has receded to the back pages. But the men and women who died in recent days were no less brave or less honorable than those who died in the first days of the war. It’s time for us to publicly honor them-to remind the country that they’re dying every day in the quagmire of Iraq-and ask, “How many more?”

You will be asked, over and over and over again, “Why didn’t you, personally, work to end the criminal graft, corruption, deception and abuse this administration has inflicted on the people of the United States of America, the people of Afghanistan and the people of Iraq.”

You’d better move heaven and earth to put things right, or what the world will remember about you is that you lost your job because you were incompetent and/or corrupt.

WHY IS IT: WHY IS IT THAT WE CAN TAKE HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES, GIVE THEM 16 WEEKS OF TRAINING AND SHIP THEM, (HIM OR HER) OFF TO IRAQ TO FIGHT AND DIE IN AN ILLEGAL WAR. WHEN AFTER TWO YEARS OF TRAINING, AND SEVERAL YEARS OF PAST EXPERIENCE IN MILITARY SERVICE, THE IRAQI’S ARE UNABLE TO FIELD AN ARMY THAT WILL FIGHT.
