Changes to event registration policies were first discussed on Thursday, February 14 in an informal meeting in which over 100 Greek Life members attended to voice their concerns. Due to an overwhelming response to the proposed changes, Director of Residential Life Brenda Ice promised to hold additional forums and work with students to modify the proposal, as reported by Amanda Golden.

In a follow-up forum on April 7 in Persson Auditorium, Julia Queller reported a revised proposal was presented and afterwards students had the opportunity to give additional feedback on the changes. The revised proposal’s focus is on student safety through a three-tiered breakdown, private event, social event and catered event, for future event registration.
