Colgate career: In the 2007-2008 season, Winchester earned the titles of Colgate Captain and ECAC All-Star. In his Colgate career, Winchester played in 143 games and tallied 114 points – 40 goals and 74 assists – during his four years as a Raider. At the end of his 2008 season, he signed with the Ottawa Senators.

NHL career: Winchester made his pro hockey debut on March 29, 2008 in a game against the Boston Bruins. Despite a shoulder injury and a concussion that hindered his next three seasons, Winchester rejoined the Ot-tawa lineup in April 2012. He has played in 233 NHL games for the Senators and has recorded 11 goals and 41 assists, making his total point tally 52 for his pro career.
