Quality of Food: There’s just something about those slices; perhaps it’s that the majority of the Colgate community mainly consumes them after having a drink or two (or more)? Honestly though, this pizza is addicting no matter what state of inebriation you find yourself in. I have heard that the chicken wings are also tasty as well as the mozzarella sticks and chicken fingers. Slices also has the best bang for your buck out of Hamilton’s downtown offerings: two plain slices and a soda for $3.50.

Décor: What décor? If anything Slices knows their clientele, and students wandering around at 1:30 AM on Saturday looking for pizza aren’t exactly paying attention to what’s on the walls. Wood paneling, plain booths, and an arcade game make up the decorating scheme at Slices. Beware of the bathrooms: they have taken a beating over the years, and remodeling would not be a wise investment strategy. Gone are the days when drunk frat boys ripped up the toilet in order to pummel a rival, but the minimalism makes sense from both a safety and fiscal perspective.

Service: The service at Slices is actually astounding. The Hance family and their co-workers are some of the nicest people you will ever meet, and they serve and deliver your food faster than Usain Bolt runs the 100-meter dash. If you order wings, you’ll get it in 10-15 minutes. If you order delivery, wait time will usually be 20-30 minutes at most. Slices get delivered to your hands in seconds. The patience of Slices employees is actually remarkable, especially during those late night rushes, and deserves to be recognized. Parkside, take a lesson.
