Colgate University released its First-Year Class Profile for the Class of 2027, which details admission information. According to the profile, the admission rate for the class of 2027 was 12 percent. Academically, students had an average GPA of 3.97 out of 4.0. 

The profile also announced that there are 807 first-year students currently enrolled — a smaller class size compared to the Class of 2025 and the Class of 2026, which have grade sizes of 913 and 817, respectively. The Class of 2024 remains the smallest class currently on campus with 790 students enrolled. 

The Class of 2027 met 100 percent of financial aid needs, and 42 percent of the class is receiving aid. Current first-years are geographically diverse, according to the profile, spanning all 50 states and 152 countries. Additionally, 25 percent of the class are multicultural students, and 9 percent of the class are international students.
