Netflix co-founder and former CEO Marc Randolph will headline Arts, Creativity and Innovation Weekend on April 4 at Colgate University. The annual celebration falls from April 4 to 5.
As shared in a Feb. 12 email addressed to the Colgate community, Randolph participated in the founding of six start-up companies after Netflix and serves on multiple boards. Randolph also wrote the 2019 book “That Will Never Work: The Birth of Netflix and The Amazing Life of an Idea” and hosts a podcast of the same name.
The keynote is part of the Kerschner Family Series Global Leaders. In past years, the series brought poet Amanda Gorman, journalist Maria Ressa and ballet dancer Misty Copeland to campus.
In addition to Randolph’s keynote address, Arts, Creativity and Innovation Weekend will seek to highlight the entrepreneurial spirit of Colgate. Other events include a screening and discussion of the Oscar-nominated film “Anora” with producer Alex Coco ’12, a Scholars Spring Symposium for students to discuss their research projects and the annual Thought Into Action Venture Showcase. The weekend will also highlight the development of the Middle Campus with an open house on April 5.
Those interested in attending Randolph’s keynote on April 4 at 6 p.m must reserve seating in advance on the Colgate website.
