13 Beats of the Week: ‘New Releases Edition’

1. “Obsession” by Vice ft. Jon Bellion

This single is all I’ve been listening to since it dropped last week. Will you get obsessed too?

2. “Passionfruit” by Drake

If you haven’t already heard this one, check it out now. The single is on Drake’s new album, More Life, which hit the airwaves on March 18.

3. “Still Got Time” by ZAYN ft. PARTYNEXTDOOR

If you’re a fan of Zayn-post-One Direction, this new release is for you. It’s great for just hanging out and relaxing.

4. “Symphony” by Clean Bandit ft. Zara Larsson

Fresh off of Zara Larsson’s new album So Good, this duet with the iconic electric string trio is sure to make you dance. It’s upbeat tempo and EDM style make it a great party track.

5. “Best Behaviour” by Louisa Johnson

The 19-year–old British singer and former X-Factor winner just dropped this edgy hit. It will get you in the mood for a great night.

6. “No More Sad Songs” by Little Mix ft. Machine Gun Kelly

I can’t make a playlist without featuring my favorite group. The song is featured on the groups’ album, Glory Days, which dropped back in November, but was recently re-released as a duet with Machine Gun Kelly. The rap stylings definitely add to the already uplifting jam and will help you get over that breakup.

7. “Imagine” by Pentatonix

This talented a capella quintet puts a unique twist on a John Lennon classic. Check out the powerful music video on YouTube, or just listen to satisfy your Beatles obsession.

8. “Wild Love” by Elle King

Elle King’s beautiful vocals and sweet message on this track are a fresh sound for the alternative and rock artist, who is best known for her raspy vocals and darker messages. The single serves as a preview for her upcoming album.

9.  “Make Me Better” by James Blunt

I immediately listened to the song after Ed Sheeran posted on Instagram promoting the British Grammy-nominated artist. Sheeran co-wrote the single which is off of Blunt’s new album, The Afterlove. Its deep lyrics and soothing melody make it great for a study playlist.

10. “Educate Ya” by Pitbull and Jason Derulo

Mr. Worldwide is back! This catchy tune, off of Pitbull’s new album, Climate Change, is the next “Hotel Room Service” (if that’s possible).

11. “Just A Feeling” by Phantoms ft. Vérité

The up-tempo beat of this song and cool editing make it a great addition to any EDM playlist.

12. “Speak to a Girl” by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill

This new single is a preview off of this dynamic country couple’s

upcoming album. It’s a seriously swoon-worthy duet.

13. “Waterfall” by Stargate, P!nk and Sia

The hit, which features a duet from two well-known female vocalists, sends a message that will give you chills while maintaining its quintessential Sia flair – passionate vocals and a steady beat.
